Meet Cindy & John!

Oceans55 is Cindy Peralez Hughes, supported by her husband, John. AND it includes every one of our supporters and every child, mother, and father we touch in Uganda!

You can be a part of this amazing, Christ-centered ministry through your prayers, donations, and even mission trips to join us in person.

How We Do It

We partner with orphanages in Uganda and help meet their needs through our ministry funds. These needs vary but include education, food/nutrition, healthcare, clothing, upgrading their buildings, and of course Bible studies, faith teaching, and discipleship.

We also venture out into local communities to meet with families who struggle with basic necessities. We don't ignore children because they have one or both parents, so this is a special joy we get to experience.

Cindy and John are both active in developing funds from generous friends and churches in the United States, global friends, as well as sources within Uganda.

Why We Do It

Cindy believes that every child deserves to be held and hugged and loved every single day, regardless of where or how they live. This is her way of loving babies and children exactly how she sees her Savior love her.

John believes every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, dream, achieve their dreams, and reach their potential in life. Those dreams and potentials are there, they just need someone to believe in them!

Oceans55 delivers on its beliefs, and we do it ALL in the name of Jesus.

Our Core Values

We love Jesus. That is the core of our core value.
And we know that Jesus loves us. We desperately want to share His love with Uganda's most precious and vulnerable children.

We also value God the Father, His Word, and the Holy Spirit, who is active in believers still today.

We value God's righteousness and holiness, all human life, the potential of every human, and we believe in and value miracles.

What We Do

We work hand-in-hand with orphanages and other children's ministries in Uganda.

1) Through our personal funding, your donations, and other ministry income, we provide funding for their most-pressing needs--needs that give children the chance at a fulfilling life they so deserve.

2) We also work hands-on with orphanages as care-givers, teachers, planners, construction workers, anything we can do to help.

Our first partner orphanage is Kampala Christian Orphanage. We continue to speak with and vet other potential partners.

All donations we receive go directly to orphanages or families in dire need.

Projects we support cover education, food & nutrition, safe shelters, healthcare, clothing, and spiritual guidance to empower children toward self-sufficiency.
